I have arrived safely in Firenze; the flights were long but fine. I'll be in this hotel (where I am writing from) tonight, and will meet my host family tomorrow night. More later!

Just a reminder that there is one of St. Francis's tunics in Santa Croce. It is in a small room behind the altar. I love Santa Croce, maybe because my dead hero, Galileo, is buried there.
